What This On-page SEO Audit Checks

This tool focuses on measurable checks for English blog articles: crawlability, titles, descriptions, keyword placement, structure, images, links, canonical signals, noindex and structured data. It does not judge argument depth, factual quality or commercial value.

HTTP status

Checks whether the target URL can be fetched and whether the final response is a 2xx page.

Recommendation: published articles should be directly accessible, without login walls, broken redirects or blocking rules.

HTML size

Flags unusually large HTML, often caused by heavy themes, injected apps, inline scripts or repeated template blocks.

Recommendation: review theme output, third-party snippets and inline JSON when the page is heavy.

URL year or date

Checks whether the article URL contains a year, month or date. Evergreen content with dates in the slug may look time-limited.

Recommendation: use evergreen slugs for new long-term content. Do not change indexed URLs without a 301 redirect plan.

Title tag

Checks whether the page has a unique title tag, plus character length and estimated search-result width.

Recommendation: put the core topic, object and differentiator near the front of the title.

Meta description

Checks whether the page has a meta description and whether it is close to a practical search-snippet length.

Recommendation: explain the problem, audience and key value in one or two natural sentences.

H1 and heading hierarchy

Checks the full page H1 count and whether article headings follow a readable hierarchy.

Recommendation: keep one main H1 per URL and use H2/H3 to organize the article body.

Word count and paragraphs

Counts words in the detected article body and flags long paragraphs. This is a coverage signal, not a quality score.

Recommendation: use sections, lists, examples, comparisons and FAQ blocks when the topic needs more coverage.

English readability

Uses Flesch Reading Ease as a rough reference for English text only. It mainly reflects sentence length and word syllables.

Recommendation: 60+ passes, 45-59 is a note, below 45 is worth improving. Technical writing can be harder, but avoid overloaded sentences.

Keyword placement

Optional target keywords are checked in title, description, H1, first paragraph and H2/H3 headings.

Recommendation: include core keywords naturally. Do not force every long-tail phrase into every prominent element.

Image alt and size

Checks article images for descriptive alt text and width/height attributes.

Recommendation: write useful alt text for content images and keep stable image dimensions to reduce layout shift.

Internal links

Counts same-domain links in the article body and shows follow status, target behavior and anchor text.

Recommendation: link to relevant articles, categories, product pages, service pages or case studies with specific anchors.

External links

Counts links to other domains and shows dofollow/nofollow, sponsored, ugc, target behavior and anchor text.

Recommendation: this is a neutral note. Cite authoritative sources when useful; use the right rel attributes for commercial or user-generated links.

Canonical

Checks whether the page declares the preferred URL for indexing.

Recommendation: published blog posts usually use a self-referencing canonical unless another URL is the intended indexable version.

Noindex / robots

Checks whether robots meta contains noindex.

Recommendation: drafts and test pages may use noindex; published articles should not.

Social preview

Checks og:title, og:description and og:image for link previews in social and messaging apps.

Recommendation: make preview copy click-worthy while staying accurate to the article.

Article JSON-LD

Checks whether JSON-LD includes Article, BlogPosting or NewsArticle. Organization data does not replace article schema.

Recommendation: blog articles should include Article or BlogPosting, alongside Organization and BreadcrumbList when appropriate.
